Love gives a gig
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Centralized Placement Service (KUCCPS) revealed on Tuesday, March 7 that it has not yet launched an official portal for university course applications.

In response to inquiries from candidates for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2022, the agency reported that the portal was not yet open.

KUCCPS's clarification came after a series of false reports that college course applications were ongoing.

The agency also said it would announce an official date on its website and social media.

“The portal is currently not open for applications. As soon as the application date is decided, it will be notified through KUCCPS. website, official social media pages and mainstream media. Keep it here for updates,” the statement said.

Regarding the courses available at the university, KUCCPS added that it has not yet published a list of courses and requirements for each subject.

KUCCPS said, “A full list of courses and institutions will be provided upon application.”

2022 KCSE students have yet to apply and revise their university courses despite the announcement of the results on 20 January.

Delay caused many bad messages. On February 23, KUCCPS issued a statement explaining that college admissions GPA has not increased.

KUCCPS has stated that the minimum grade for entry into degree programs is C+ (plus), whereas diploma courses are grade C- (minus).

CS Ezekiel Machogu said the portal will be opened soon to help 2022 KCSE applicants get into the university on time.

“University placements can begin at any time. In particular, we await proposals for financing and other mandate terms provided by President William Ruto,” he said.

Placement agencies then receive a list of programs offered by universities and higher education institutions. As a precautionary measure, KUCCPS is conducting a process to ensure courses are accredited, Wahome said.
